Air NZ Koru Lounge
Christchurch,
New Zealand

As part of a refresh of its branding, Air New Zealand has been expanding and retrofitting its Koru Club lounges based on a relaxed and welcoming ‘Kiwi bach’ theme. This, together with new Zambesi-designed uniforms for its staff, increased use of the Koru symbol and a new greenstone-inspired colour palette, is all aimed at giving the airline a more uniquely New Zealand identity.

Recyclable carpet, low energy lighting and tiles made of recycled plastic bottles and inspired by the Southern Alps are some of the sustainable design features in Air New Zealand’s upgraded Christchurch Koru lounge.

As well as sustainable features it also seats about double the previous number of customers and has views of the runway and Southern Alps through floor to ceiling windows.

CMS Electracom actively worked with Jasmax Architects in designing and supplying a range of softwiring and power products. From custom designed Athena Rails to CPU holders to Cable clips for efficient cable management. Furthermore, CMS supplied the highly versatile CMS Apollo FL floorboxes featuring CMS starters – this power solution ensured that power and safety requirements of the project were met. CMS Electracom is delighted to be associated with this outstanding project and prestigious global New Zealand icon – Air New Zealand.
