Ngāmotu House – New Plymouth
Ngāmotu House, previously known as the Atkinson Building, is a six-storey, 4,000m² commercial space located in the West End precinct of New Plymouth. Originally constructed in the 1950s to serve various government departments, the building had been vacant for several years before being acquired by the local Maori Iwi – Te Āti Awa.
The refurbishment of Ngāmotu House was designed to bring the building up to 100% of the current building code requirements while integrating cultural and design elements. The building’s exterior was reimagined with a steel façade, symbolising a ‘parawai’ – cloak, to embody its cultural heritage.
We are proud to have partnered with Office Furniture First to provide a comprehensive office fit out for Ngāmotu House. Our contribution included the supply of the Athena Rail, Echo Trio, and Flip Module, which offer convenient access to personal power sources and fast charging capabilities. Additionally, we provided a cable management solution designed to ensure a clutter-free workspace, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
